We are crafters of unique instruments, uniting traditional woodworking techniques with modern precision to build instruments that inspire the player. We specialize in ergonomic optimization and extended-range instruments, prioritizing cutting-edge features and versatility. Instrument-building is its own art form and we take pride in the aesthetic form and crafting of each model, but we are also lovers of music, and we view instruments primarily as tools for the musician. Not only do we strive to build the best tools out there, we hope for them to be artistic muses as well.
IDENTITy
Our Process
All of our instruments are built in the workshop of owner and luthier Nick Wilson, based outside Baltimore City. Nick has been building guitars since 2009 and since day one his goal, which has become the philosophy of Prophecy Instruments, has been to make each and every design a statement of its own. Incorporating ergonomic theories to facilitate practical play, our designs approach the instrument as a sculpture, conceived as a three-dimensional object with sweeping surfaces and aesthetic curves.
