  • Presently, the Orca and Strategy are only available as 6-string guitars. However, we will be making 7- and 8-string configurations of these models in the future.

The Plasma bass model is available in 4-, 5-string configurations at this time. 6-string option to come!

  • Many of our builds are multiscale instruments, meaning that the lower strings are longer than higher strings; this provides tonal balance, preserving the tightness and clarity of the low end while allowing for a warm, rich high end. These benefits are especially noticeable on extended range instruments, such as 8-string guitars and 6-string basses.

The splayed multiscale frets have ergonomic benefits as well, encouraging proper wrist position while playing. Although they may look unfamiliar, players that are new to multiscale instruments usually feel comfortable on the fretboard within just minutes of playing.

  • Headless guitars and basses first found popularity in the 80s, but headless stringed instruments have existed since at least the 1800s.

Today, many players choose headless instruments for their comfort and ergonomics. The headless configuration removes the large headstock and the heavy tuning hardware from the end of your neck. This improves balance, eliminating neck dive and reducing the overall weight of the instrument. With the guitar naturally resting in playing position, your fretting hand is free from supporting the neck and can concentrate on playing. Headless instruments are also more compact, making them much easier to transport.

At Prophecy, we also appreciate the design possibilities that headless instruments open up. We strive to step beyond conventional guitar design, integrating the form and function of these modern instruments into one.
